Not Overlooking Vulnerable: Jenny Too Busy Buying Up RATs To Tell Me How To Help Them
January 06, 2022

Prime Minister Scott Morrison is accused of overlooking the needs of Australia’s vulnerable by not making rapid antigen tests, or RATs, more easily available and free. Morrison, who famously relies on wife Jenny to tell him how to empathise with others, is adamant he is not overlooking vulnerable Australians. He’s simply waiting for Jenny to get home from buying RATs to tell him what to do.

This week the Prime Minister informed that he, like all Ministers, has access to RATs as supplied by the Department of Cabinet. Jenny, however, is on her own. Driving across the country and fist-fighting the masses to find an elusive and overpriced test.

The Federal Government is under fire for being underprepared for the COVID outbreak and for not making the tests accessible to all Australians. In particular the vulnerable, that are the most likely to need them and the least likely to afford them.

Mr Morrison was quick to point out, “We are prepared. We have plenty of RATs in Parliament.” He then said with a laugh, “And before you ask, no, they’re not free. My tests are paid for by taxpayers.”

He made it clear there is no special treatment. “Jenny’s driving around as we speak, hoarding and stockpiling tests – whatever she can get her hands on. She’s taking them right out of the hands of everyday Australians, just like you.”

Morrison said that when Jenny gets home, she’ll be exhausted from all that frenzied shopping. He said with a smile, “Rest assured, I’ll pour her a chilled glass of Rose and get her thoughts on exactly what we need to do to protect Australia’s vulnerable.”

Babbler can confirm that Jenny was last seen at the Blacktown Chemist Warehouse.
