The Lin family is celebrating tonight. The family of four received four positive covid test results in a 24-hour period. Meaning, they will only be required to isolate for seven days.
Mum, Kym says, “We have friends that have been locked down since Christmas. It’s taken that long for the virus to work its way through the family. We feel like we’ve won Tattslotto!”
The Lin family are the lucky ones. Lucky that the virus chose to move quickly from person to person, but also lucky that they are one of the .0000000001% of Australians that had access to enough rapid antigen tests (RATs) to prove their multiple infections in the one day. This ‘luck’ has shaved days, or weeks, off their isolation sentence.
The family is now praying that they are without symptoms on day 7, as they have run out of RATs.
