Prime Minister Scott Morrison was asked today about an event at The Lodge where Grace Tame refused to smile at him. As an ally to women, the Prime Minister was quick to explain that Grace’s disrespect towards him was because of the terrible ordeals she had endured throughout her life.
In a well-rehearsed comment, he said, “If people come to our house, Jenny and I always greet them with a smile.”
The PM then appeared to be genuinely moved, “That’s Jen. She’s had a terrible life, being married to me. Truly dreadful at times. But she always has the decency to plaster on a big ol’ smile.”
